The Coral Gables Community Foundation is thrilled to count the Sharing Hope Children’s Therapy Fund among its Charitable Funds, and we’re grateful to the DiMarco Family, engaged Coral Gables residents, for entrusting the Foundation to manage their philanthropic goals.

By managing the fund, the Foundation is helping Sherri create a resource for South Florida families facing difficult financial choices while caring for children with global language delays, to help cover the cost of pediatric therapies.

The Coral Gables Community Foundation inspires impactful philanthropy through charitable funds and programs using local knowledge, expertise and trusted relationships. It can help your family create a bespoke fund that serves your philanthropic goals, while tapping into our knowledge of the nonprofits throughout the region and maximizing tax benefits.

We’re moved by the good work of our friends Paul and Sherri DiMarco, who are committed to helping kids in need to get the therapy they deserve.

Thank you Sherri!

Why Our Therapy Scholarships Are Important

“Dealing with a new autism spectrum disorder diagnosis is emotionally challenging, and the added financial strain can be incredibly stressful. It's noteworthy that over 56% of Americans have savings of less than $1,000. Based on my experience, the cost of autism diagnostic evaluations alone can reach up to $3,500. When you factor in expenses for therapies, personalized tutoring, and finding a school that provides the necessary support for the child, the overall financial burden can become quite substantial. In my role as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™️ Professional, I've witnessed how this financial strain can severely impact households of children with special needs, leaving families feeling hopeless about their financial future.”

How Sharing Hope Children’s Therapy Fund Has Helped

“My name is Dr. Laura Olivos, a child psychologist working with neurodivergent youth and their families in Miami-Dade County and surrounding areas. The Sharing Hope Children’s Therapy Fund has undoubtedly made an unparalleled impact in the lives of so many precious families in this community.

I am especially inspired by one particular family that came to me in need. This immigrant family came to the United States in the last few years, learning to navigate their new community and find a way to stay afloat. One of their children was diagnosed with Autism earlier this year and did not have the means or the awareness of how to help their child meet their support needs. Accessing quality care with a team of professionals that had not only the right training, but the heart to serve was rare to find.

Thankfully, I was told about this therapy fund and the DiMarco family via an outstanding speech and language professional in this community, Ms. Amanda Alvarez. Today, this child is thriving, learning how to find their voice, and creating a sense of peace for this family knowing their daughter has a path forward without compromising putting food on their table to survive.

The Sharing Hope Children’s Therapy Fund undoubtedly can shape and change lives for the better, allowing families of neurodivergent children to breathe easier and see a beautiful future where all feel seen, heard, and that they matter. Thank you will never be enough.”
